State Taxes Deptt imposes penalty on tax evaders

KATHUA, Oct 8: State Taxes Department has imposed penalty on tax evaders.
As per official spokesman, the officials of the State Taxes Department under the supervision of Ranjeet Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Enforcement, State Taxes Department Lakhanpur, and Sona Gupta Assistant Commissioner conducted enforcement drive.
During the drive, the officials intercepted two trucks bearing Registration Numbers JK05E6991 and RJ37GB2324 carrying walnuts and marble respectively. Both the vehicles were confiscated.
During scrutiny of the documents, both the vehicles were found plying without proper documents of the loaded goods and a fine of around Rs 45,000 was imposed on them.
The officials, who carried out the enforcement drive, were STO Sunil Dutt, Inspector Shakeel and Inspector Surinder.
The drive was carried out under the supervision of Commissioner State Taxes Department Rashmi Singh.
