JAMMU, Dec 21: Pradesh Youth Congress today held its State Executive meeting at the Congress office in Jammu to discuss important issues regarding the upcoming `Bharat Jodo Yatra’ which will reach Jammu Kashmir soon.
The Youth Wing of the Congress party deliberated upon the preparations for the Yatra and reviewed their plans. The meeting was chaired by IYC general secretary Jadgev Gagga, secretaries IYC Navneet Kaur and Amit Pathania, JKPYC president Uday Chib, working president Firoz Khan, joint secretary IYC Manpreet Singh Manni, Iftikar Ahmad.
Youth Congress leaders Sahil Langeh, Amir Bandey, Ranjot Singh, Divyansh Jamwal, Latish Sharma, Anirudh Sawhney, Neha Bhagat, Fiaz Diwan, Ibrar Ahmed, Kamal Magotra, Deepanshu Bhat, Romi Sharma, Happy Randhawa, Karan Thappa, Sunny Jatt, Fayazi Mirza, Navneet Thakur, Shah Nawaz Khaki, Imad ud Din and others were present.
IYC general secretary discussed various plans of the Bharat Jodo Yatra during the meeting. He stated that Kashmiri Pandits, Legal cell, Sports cell and other Youth Congress cells and departments will give reception to Rahul Gandhi during the upcoming Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir. He also explained that camps will be organised at various locations across J&K for registration of Bharat Jodo Yatris. The Youth Congress said that a delegation of sportspersons will be held by Sports Cell and a D&D delegation will be held by Ranjot Singh. The meeting of all Yatris will be held physically for authentication purposes during the Yatra, he added.
Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu said that PYC has geared up for Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra—which will enter the state in January– as an important meeting of party leaders was held to prepare for the yatra. Congress is the only party which can work in the interest of the country and the state, he said.
The historic work done by the party is a legacy the party still carries. Bharat Jodo reflects the same spirit of sacrifice and unity. He stated that Gandhi was taking up the ‘padayatra’ for about 3,500 km to awaken the youth to protect the country’s unity in the wake of attempts being made to bring differences within the society.
Secretaries IYC Navneet Kaur and Amit Pathania also spoke on the occasion.
