LEH, Dec 18: Two day General Council meeting of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) concluded today with the remaining departments giving power point presentation highlighting major achievements and detail of expenditure till November ending.
During the meeting, CEC Rigzin Spalbar emphasised on understanding and cooperation at every level and the need to bring awareness among the public regarding various services and facilities provided by the departments to ensure benefit and development in true terms.
He lauded departments for decrease in infant mortality rate, increase in yield of agriculture produces, increase in livestock, large scale plantation, improved pass percentage and zero drop outs in Government schools.
“In place like Ladakh it is not easy to carry out developmental works but despite many constraints especially shortage of staff the departments are doing commendable jobs putting their best efforts to give quality works with use of new technologies, schemes and other measures,” he said.
Spalbar urged the HoDs to start formulating plan for the next financial year in tandem with the 12 Five Year Perspective Plan keeping in view their need, expenditure and service delivery. Likewise, he urged the Councilors to give feedbacks to the departments, executing agencies even in normal routine and also to encourage the departments for their achievements.
