JAMMU, Apr 12: Satish Sharma, former Chairman of the Jammu Municipal Corporation and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Executive member, while talking to the reporters at his residence today said that the effect of the lockdown going on across the country due to the corona virus is now taking toll on everyone.
“The ongoing lockdown has badly affected the student community and it is very difficult for them to study online via 2G service. Therefore, the Government should immediately provide 4G speed internet service in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory without delay, Sharma said.
He said that after the removal of Article 370, internet was stopped due to security protocols in Jammu and Kashmir, which almost every Indian supported, but now more than 8 months have passed since the abrogation of the same and the Government should not have any problem in running 4G as the environment is altogether different now in Union Territory.
Satish said that 4G service will help people to to get more information and gain more knowledge with regard to fighting COVID-19.
