KATHUA, Nov 11: St Xavier’s Convent School celebrated its Annual Sports Day in its prestigious premises, today.
The chief guest of the event has come all the way from Australia, the grandmaster of Budo Ryu Kempo, Martial Arts, Hugh Lynch Gardener. Shihaan Cheryl Lynch Gardner, the chief Instructor of Budo Ryu Kempo, Martial Arts Australia was the guest of honour.
The event began with unfurling of the school flag followed by lighting the torch ceremony. Principal of the school, Rev. Fr. Dr Johnson Thomas promised to continue his efforts in the best interest of the education for the people of Kathua. There were many cultural items which bound the spectators throughout the program.
The foreign guests were amazed to witness the talent with smiling faces.
