Trikuta Degree College organizes symposium

JAMMU, Nov 11: To commemorate the birth anniversary of First Education Minister of Independent India, Abdul Kalam Azad as National Educational Day, Trikuta Degree College, Nardani-Raipur today organized a symposium on the topic “Importance of Value Education in present social set up”
A total of eight students expressed their views with expressing disappointment over deterioration of moral values among the young generation. They expressed need for value oriented education and advocated to make it compulsory in the curriculum.
The three teachers namely Sunita, Shevata and Deepika also spoke on the topic.
Shilpa, Naina and Vikas, who stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd, respectively in the symposium, were presented mementoes by chief guest, Dr RL Sharma, chairman of the college. Two consolation prizes were also given to Shifali and Arjun.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Sonakshi and Kajal.
