JAMMU, Oct 24: SSP Traffic City Jammu Shiv Kumar Sharma took stock of traffic management in the City of Temples.
SSP Traffic stressed upon the officers and officials to take all necessary measures to smoothen the flow of traffic in Winter Capital of J&K by strictly enforcing the Motor Vehicle Act/Rules with zero tolerance against visible offences like driving without wearing seat belt, Helmet and overspeed, stunt driving, etc.
Sharma further impressed upon the officers and officials to exhibit high sense of responsibility and behavior while dealing with the traffic offenders.
He gave directions to the officers to ensure a visible change on ground with a people friendly attitude and for this, technology oriented gadgetry and other implements shall be provided to the officers for traffic regulations and enforcement.
SSP Traffic directed that officers should wear body worn cameras during challaning and have a good turnout while performing their duties.
He further added that after sunset every Officer and official should wear florescent jackets and also ensure presence of manpower on road.
