JAMMU, July 5: SSP Rural Dushyant Sharma today reviewed law and order situation and other issues at a meeting at Jagti, Nagrota. SDPO Nagrota Yashveer Singh, SHO Nagrota Deepak Pathania and Incharge Jagti Police Post Sub Inspector Daljit Singh attended the meeting.
Sharma discussed the situation arising out of drug smuggling, bovine smuggling, security scenario, maintenance of law and order and eve-teasing besides other issues.
He called upon the people to provide police with clues, if they have any on drugs and bovine smuggling and activities of anti-national and anti-social elements or any other security related issues to help police in nabbing the culprits.
Sharma advised the people to constitute Village Level Committees of former Sarpanchs, Panchs and Namberdars to keep constant vigil over drug consuming by youth for their rehabilitation through various centres of drug de-addiction.
He advised the people to remain vigilant in view of ongoing annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath Ji.
