Lal Singh releases Santosh’s Dogri album ‘Mane Deyaa Mehrama’

JAMMU, July 5: Appreciating the contribution of local artists in carrying forward the Dogra legacy to the younger generation, former Minister and BJP MLA, Basohli, Ch Lal Singh today alleged that a well planned conspiracy had been hatched by certain vested elements in political arena to malign people of Jammu province.
While addressing the gathering during release of Dogri Album “Mane Deyaa Mehrama” sung by noted singer Santosh Bandral and produced by Hai Duggar Kala Manch at K L Sehgal Hall, here, Ch Lal Singh said   it was the need of the hour that every Dogra belonging to any religion, caste or creed must ensures that the younger generation knows mother tongue Dogri. “If we will forget our mother tongue, we will move miles away from our culture and ethos that will finally end up of our vast and glorious history,” he cautioned.
Congratulating  Santosh Bandral for singing Dogri songs on Dogra history and Dogra war heroes as well as on Jammu region, Ch Lal Singh also gave reference of his movement demanding CBI inquiry in Rasana rape and murder case so that  eight year old deceased girl could  get justice. Maintaining that the fight for CBI inquiry will continue, Lal Singh alleged that the former CM Mehbooba Mufti played with the sentiments of Jammu people and handed over the case to Crime Branch of Kashmir to create a wedge between two communities.
Chairman, Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, who was guest of honour on the occasion, alleged that it was apathy of successive Governments that Dogri folk, music as well as artists were never given a proper platform to rise and show their talent to the nation as well as world.  “But hats off to the Dogra, writers, singers and artists who  despite all odds have made a mark in promoting the local folk through their hard work, ”  he added and appealed  all Jammuites to make joint effort to promote Dogra culture and  heritage by making right use of social media.
On the occasion, Yash Pal Yash, Randheer Singh Raipuria, R K Parwana, Th Uttam Singh, Surinder Manhas, Deepak Sharma, Bahadur Singh, Shweta Sharma, Diksha, Javed Gill, Shazi Khan, Vageesh Sharma, Devinder Bakshi, Kamal Sharma, Anjali Bandral, Deepak Sharma and Er Vijay Sharma were felicitated.
