SSJAC protests against JU administration

JAMMU, June 6: Up in arms against alleged biased approach of the Jammu University administration, activists of Students-Scholars Joint Action Committee (SSJAC) held a protest demonstration on the campus today.
The protesting students and scholars, led by Lovedeep Singh, raised slogans against the JU administration and demanded immediate removal of Dean Students Welfare Prof Pankaj Shrivastva as well as Vice-Chancellor Prof Mohan Pal Singh Ishar.
They sought personal intervention of Governor N N Vohra to streamline the things in Jammu University and rein in the elements who have allegedly created a mess in the JU administration.
Mr Mankotia alleged that the JU authorities were targetting the students who raised voice against dictatorial decisions of the Vice-Chancellor and exposed vested interests in the university.
Parduman Singh, a Research Scholar, accused the VC of playing with the career of the students by taking hasty decisions and canceling admission of those who raise voice against the mess.
The protest demonstration was also addressed by Atul Jamwal, Gopi Matyal, Pardeep Singh Chib, Vikram Jeet, Dilabar, Amit Singh, Gourav Samotra, Akash Manhas, Tushar Taseem, Sambyal, Nishat Verma, Rajesh Sharma and Ajay Sharma.
