Deportation of Rohingyas demanded

JAMMU, Dec 29: Taking serious exception to reported move of the State Government to disarm the Village Defence Committee (VDC) members in districts of Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban, Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SSDS), Jammu province said that this way a fear psychosis is being created among the minorities living in the hilly reaches of Jammu by the authorities.
The Government is going to disarm the VDCs while the activities of terrorists are increasing in these districts, Bodh Raj Sharma, president, SSDS told reporters here, today.

He said to discuss this issue and other burning issues confronting the Hindus minorities of the State, the Sanatan Dharam Sabha will hold a conference at Geeta Bhawan here tomorrow in which chief executives of all branches of Sabha will take part.
Sharma appealed the Governor to look into the matter and strengthen the VDCs instead of weakening them to take on the terrorists in the hilly reaches of Jammu who have spread their tentacles again.
Demanding immediate deportation of Rohingyas, he said they are a security risk and also will harm the social harmony in the State as their members indulge in drug trafficking and other anti national and anti social activities.
Showing total solidarity with West Pak refugees, he said their demand for citizenship rights is still pending for over 70 years. He demanded that these refugees should be given the citizenship rights on humanitarian grounds immediately.
He also demanded arrest of killers of Parihar brothers of Kishtwar. These killers are still at large and they should be arrested and dealt under law of the land.
Sharma warned that in case the Government failed to arrest the terrorists involved in the killing of Parihar brothers, the SSDS will be left with no option but to come to streets.
He demanded establishment of Police Check Post on Mughal road at Poonch and Simthon Top in Kishtwar as the terrorists and criminals involved in crime in Poonch area cross over to Valley via Mughal road without any checking with the result minorities in Poonch and Rajouri feel scared.
Besides, all the land of temples and other religious places of Hindus as well as their private property encroached upon in Poonch and Kashmir Valley be restored immediately. Sharma also appealed the Hindu minorities of the State to muster unity and speak in one voice for their rights.
The other leaders of SSDS who were present in the press conference included Bodh Raj its vice president, Dileep Gupta, secretary and Ajay Manhas.
