SSB busts constable recruitment racket

NEW DELHI:  The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has apprehended some people involved in using unfair means to clandestinely help the candidates appearing in written examination conducted by it for the recruitment of constables.

According to a SSB statement released here today, there is an involvement of one public servant against whom departmental inquiry has been initiated by the department concerned.

The people arrested by the vigilance branch of FHQ SSB were equipped with electronic gadgets like ear-phone and blue-tooth devices to pass the questions to the handlers for taking help in the written examination which was held on July 2.

“As per their modus operandi, they tried to use artificial thumb impressions of the candidates to defeat biometric identity, so as to seek entry into the examination hall,” it said.

Four candidates from examination centre of Patna were handed over to Bihar Police, for using unfair means during the examination, the statement added. (AGENCIES)
