JAMMU, June 19: Deman-ding release of their pending salary and streamlining of the same, Government teachers working under SSA scheme held a strong protest demonstration, here today.
The protest was organized under the banner of JK SSA Teachers Forum, led by Younis Rahi, State president of the Forum.
The protesting teachers raised slogans for release of their pending salary and for the last months and delinking SSA salary from Central source of funding.

While addressing the protest demonstration, Younis Rahi lamented that despite the Education Minister Altaf Bukhari’s assurance for regular salary from April month, the State Government has failed to streamline their monthly salary. He appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene into the matter and issue order for immediate release of their pending salary besides streamlining of the same by de-linking the salary budget from source of funding.
The protest demonstration was also addressed by some other leaders of the Forum, who highlighted demands like transfer policy for Regularized ReTs, benefits to RRTs vide order number 469, etc.
Those who addressed the protest demonstration, included Joginder Digra, Surinder Kaith, Surjeet Bhagat, Manzoor Malik, Sikander Lal, Neetu Rajput, Gurdas Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Aslam Khan, Pawan Kumar, Ragubir Lal, Vijay Kumar, Rajinder Sharma, Davinder Singh, and others.
