SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees stage protest

JAMMU, May 28: All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association here today staged a protest demonstration in favour of their demands.
The protest was led by Association leader, Dev Raj Bali.
Speaking on the occasion Bali said that voluntarily retired SRTC employees are raising their demands for the last eight years but the government is not paying any heed towards them.
He said that their demands include COLA arrears from the year 1999, arrears of sixth pay commission from January 2006 and implementation of Corporation benefits.
The protesters also appealed to the Governor and his Advisors to intervene so that their demands can be conceded.
Surinder Singh, Balwinder Singh, Prem Nath, B.B Sharma, Shiv Kumar, Gulshan Singh, D.N Sharma and others were also present in the protest.
