SRO 520 attack on job security: JKCCTU

JAMMU, Jan 18:  J&K Coordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) has termed the SRO 520 as attack on the job security of the workers  and a new form of exploitation.
In a meeting of the JKCCTU held today under the chairmanship of Mohd Maqbool, the members welcomed the announcement of  Government to implement 7th Pay Commission but at the same time it termed  the SRO 520 as an attack on the job security of the workers  and  named it as worst kind of exploitation.
Maqbool demanded release of arrears from January 2016 in cash. He appealed the Government to review its decision with regard to the SRO 520 and  take early decision of enhancement of Medical allowance. He also sought clarity  on Medical Insurance scheme of the Government for employees and pensioners.
Senior trade unionists, Gurmeet Singh, Sheikh Ajaz, Rakesh Padha  and Ghulam Nabi also spoke on the occasion.
