Kathua Police rescues 10 bovine animals, arrests 2

KATHUA, Jan 18: District Police Kathua once again succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajbagh and rescued ten bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
Acting on tip off , late last night a team of Police Post Chadwal led by SI Ashwani Dingra Incharge Police Post Chadwal laid naka near Tarnah Nallah bridge falling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajbagh and intercepted one truck bearing  registration number JK02AC-8568 carrying bovine animals which was on way from Punjab to Jammu.
During checking of the vehicle, Police rescued ten bovine animals being smuggled in the said vehicle and also arrested driver of the vehicle namely Mulkraj S/o Faqueer Chand R/o Chak Mohd Yaar, R S Pura Jammu along with his associate namely Mohd Rafeeq S/o Haji Qazi R/o Beli Charana, R S Pura Jammu.
A case FIR No 10/2018 U/S 188 RPC, 3/5 PCA Act stands registered at PS Rajbagh  and investigation into the matter is in progress.
The drive was carried out under the supervision of Sanjay Parihar JKPD Additional SP Kathua and overall supervision of Mohammed Suleman Choudhary, SSP Kathua.
The police team was deputed by Inspector Sarbjeet Andotra, SHO Police Station  Rajbagh  under the direct supervision of Dy.SP Raghubir Singh SDPO Border.
