JAMMU, Jan 18: Terming the strike of Safai Karamcharis of Municipal Council Udhampur as unlawful, Chief Executive Officer of the Council said that the strike has caused a lot of public nuisance and resulted in unhygienic condition of the town.
He further said that due to the strike huge heaps of filth and garbage are lying scattered at various garbage dumping spots in the town due to which there is every apprehension of an outbreak of epidemic.
The CEO has published a notice, wherein he has directed permanent Safai Karamcharis to resume their duties within 24 hours, otherwise they may face termination.
Safai Karamcharis of Municipal Council Udhampur are on strike since from January 11, 2018 in support of their demands and grievances.
