Srinagar simmers, records hottest day of season at 32 degrees

SRINAGAR: Srinagar witnessed the hottest day of the season so far after mercury surged and settled at 32 degrees Celsius, which is over four degree above normal.

Meanwhile, there will be no respite from this hot and humid weather as the weatherman has predicted clear sky in Srinagar during the next 24 hours. A Met department spokesperson today said the summer capital of the State today recorded the hottest day of the season so far as the mercury settled at 32 degrees.

He said the weather will mainly remain dry and maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 31 degrees and 15 degrees respectively during the next 24 hours. However, he said isolated rain and thunderstorms could occur at few places in Kashmir valley on June 16 and June 17. (AGENCIES)
