SR College holds workshops for IAS aspirants

JAMMU, Jan 31: The SR College of Competitions (SRCC) here today organized a workshop on General Studies for the civil services aspirants.
Gautam Pandey, an expert faculty in the field of civil services educated the aspirants during the workshop.
All the aspects including scheme and pattern of the exam, approach for Prelims and Mains, sources of study material and the books required, use of online sources and the relevance of newspaper reading in preparing the current affairs and writing test series for both prelims and mains were covered in the workshop.
The expert faculty discussed the entire syllabus, the focus areas and the kind of questions asked in previous years’ papers were also taken up. Aspirants were also guided about the CSAT and Essay papers.
Further, aspirants asked about the ethics, integrity and aptitude paper and the approach to handle the theory and the case studies part. Aspirants were also suggested to at least attend one comprehensive test series for both prelim and mains examinations.
A handout stated that the College has already started a test series for Prelims and Mains.
The attendees included the aspirants preparing for IAS and JKAS 2021 and also undergraduates who will be eligible in a couple of years.
“SR College keeps organizing such workshops, seminars, webinars and interactions with IAS officers, KAS toppers and various subject experts and this workshop was ninth in the series,” informed Office Coordinator, Rachna Koul.
