Sr Asstt caught red handed taking bribe

JAMMU, June  26: A senior assistant in the office of Assistant Director Employment, Ganderbal was caught red handed taking bribe from the youth for releasing subsidy amount.
Identified as  Sayed Shabir Ahmed, senior assistant in the office of Assistant Director, Employment and Counselling Centre Ganderbal, the Govt official was arrested by the State Vigilance sleuths along with the bribe money (Rs 500), which he accepted from the complainant Zahid Ahmed Mir, son of Noor Mohd Mir, resident of  Safapora in Ganderbal.
Zahid lodged a complaint in Vigilance Organization Kashmir stating that accused Sayed Shabir Ahmed is demanding bribe for the release of subsidy amount to the tune of Rs 26,000 against total amount of Rs 30,000 loan sanctioned in his favour. On the basis of this, a case FIR No. 12/2013 was registered and investigation started.  The Vigilance officials organized a trap and the accused official was caught red handed while accepting bribe money in presence of independent witness.
