JAMMU, June 26: Jammu Ford launched the most awaited ‘Ford Ecosport’ for Jammuites, here today.
The Sub – Four meter compact SUV with stunning looks has hit market at a mouth watering price tag. The Ecosport will be built at Ford India’s Chennai plant.
At the launching ceremony, Managing Director, Sanjay Aggarwal said, Ecosport would play a significant role in its aggressive plan to achieve sizeable increase in Ford market share.
While briefing the dignitaries, Manager Sales, Rakesh Razdan, briefed that Ford Ecosport will be available in 1.5L DV5 (Diesel), 1.0L Ecoboost (Petrol) and 1.5 Ti – VCT (Petrol) engine. Now no road is too tough with Ecosport’s 550mm water wading capability. The Ecosport has a ground clearance of 200mm. Ecosport has unique features like Voice control and also SYNC powered by Microsoft. Ecosport’s stunning color range consists of seven colours.
“Ford is also offering wide range of accessories option for their Ecosport customers. Ecosport has standard 2 Years warranty/ 100000 kms and its price starts from Rs 5.64 lakh onwards at Jammu which makes it a value for money proposition of its esteemed customers. Booking of Ecosport is now open at Jammu Ford”, he said.
Razdan disclosed that Ford India already has put in plans to export the EcoSport to about 40 countries, which will start within few months of its launch in the domestic market.
“Ford India is investing USD 1 billion to set up its 2nd production facility at Sanand that will be operational by 2014. The plant will have an installed output capacity of 2.4 lakh vehicles and 2.7 lakh engines annually”, he added.
