Sr Asst in AG Office removed from service

JAMMU, Apr 2: A Senior Assistant of Advocate General’s Organization has been removed from Government service for issuing fake appointment orders in lieu of money.
The accused, namely Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat, while being posted in establishment Section of the office of Advocate General, J&K, allegedly issued two fictitious appointment orders of Orderlies and Junior Assistants in July 2021 after receiving illegal gratification into his bank account.
The charges were established in the inquiry report of the Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, submitted on January 8, 2024. Further, the Crime Branch Kashmir, which had registered a case in this connection, also established the involvement of Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat after conducting inquiry.
Upon consideration of the inquiry report and other material documents related to the inquiry proceedings, the competent authority came to the conclusion that in view of the grave charges, the penalty of removal from the service as provided in clause (vii) of rule 30 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956 required to be imposed upon the delinquent official.
