JAMMU, Aug 7: Bus Stand Police arrested a Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police for stealing mobile phone from a shop within two hours.
As per police sources, while working over an information regarding theft of mobile phone from Gupta Electronics Shop, a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Deepanker Singh under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Mohita Sharma immediately swung into action and arrested a Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police with the stolen mobile phone within 2 hours.
The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Shafi, son of Ghulam Rasoo, a resident of Neoch Tehsil Mahore District Reasi. He was presently posted at Police Post Kanjli in District Shopian.
A case FIR Number 53/2021 under Section 380 IPC has been registered at Police Station Bus Stand against the arrested SPO and investigation started.
