SPO arrested with 700 grams cannabis

KISHTWAR, Dec 25: Drabshalla police arrested a Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and recovered 700 grams of cannabis from his possession.
As per police spokesman, a team from Drabshalla Police Post laid a naka and arrested a SPO along with 700 grams of cannabis.
The accused has been identified as Mohd Iqbal, son of Mohammad Sabir, a resident of Khori Saroor, district Kishtwar. SPO was involved in the smuggling and sale of cannabis in Surrore and Drabshalla areas.
A case under FIR Number 277/17 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Drabshalla Police Post SI Shah Nawaz made the arrest under the supervision of Incharge SHO Police Station Kishtwar SI Deepak Thakur, Incharge DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Nissar Ahmed Khoja and SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary.
