JAMMU, May 13: Shiv Mandir, Sector-7, Trikuta Nagar is preparing to observe the sacred occasion of Shani Amavasya on May 16 (Saturday) and the temple will host a mass recitation of Hanuman Chalisa from 6 PM.
In a press conference here today Mandir Committee president, Shiv Kumar Jolly informed that preparations for seating, devotional setup, sound system, lighting, crowd management and Prasad distribution were underway to ensure spiritually enriching experience for the devotees.
The organisers observed that in today’s rapidly changing social environment, religious and cultural programmes play a vital role in connecting younger generations with their roots.
The Mandir Committee has appealed to the devotees from Trikuta Nagar, Jammu city and adjoining areas to participate in the event in large numbers and seek blessings of Lord Shani.
Senior Committee members Vijay Vaid, Urmil Arora, Dr. R.L Handoo, Nanaji Raina, Rajesh Gupta, Thakur Sameer, Pandit Pankaj and Pandit Mohinder were also present on the occasion.
