JAMMU, Apr 29: Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta and Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri today inspected the ongoing works of new Assembly Complex coming up at a cost of Rs.166 crore.
Mr Veeri directed Managing Director JKPCC to expedite the construction work of this prestigious complex. He also directed to ensure sufficient seating arrangements for lawmakers, officers and visitors, besides proper ventilation and lighting arrangements.
On the occasion, it was apprised that the complex has a total area of 23465 square meter with two basements, 2 floors for Legislative Assembly and 2 floors for Legislative Council. It was also given out that Rs. 56 crore have so for been incurred on the execution of the project.
Secretary Legislative Assembly, Secretary Legislative Council, Managing Director JKPCC, Chief Engineer R&B Jammu and concerned senior officers were present on the occasion.
