JAMMU, Mar 9: Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today started face lifting work of Green Belt Park, Gandhi Nagar.
Members of Morning Walker Association including its President, Vijay Verma, accompanied the Speaker during his visit and gave their suggestions for improving and increasing the facilities of the park .
The Association also projected their demands including construction of bathrooms, setting up of fountain, installation of dust bins in the park, cleanliness of lanes and drains in and around the park.
The Speaker listened the demands of the Association and assured that their genuine demands and suggestions would be taken care of. He said that overall development of the constituency is his priority, adding that various step have been initiated by the Government to provide better basic facilities to the people.
Speaker also went round the park and inspected all ongoing works. He asked the concerned authorities to ensure timely completion of all ongoing works in the interest of locals.
Director, Floriculture, Kulbushan Sharma besides senior officer of Floriculture and other department were accompanied the Speaker.
