JAMMU: Speaker, Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today said the government is working towards planned and systematic development of the State and numerous initiatives are being taken in this regard.
The Speaker said this while speaking to the people during a public grievances redressal camp held at Gadigarh.
The people present at the camp put forth various demands including upgradation of link roads, upgradation of primary school, construction of bathing ghat for ladies, facility of park, inclusion of genuine beneficiaries in the BPL list, dredging of nallahs, construction of lanes and drains and removal of disparities in ration distribution.
Responding to the issues, the Speaker said the upgradation of road works have been approved and would be started at the earliest besides the issue of upgradation of primary school will be taken up with the concerned department.
He also assured them that their genuine grievances would be redressed in a time bound manner.
The Speaker called upon the people to take optimum benefit of the state and centrally sponsored schemes including Laadli Beti Scheme, State Marriage Assistance Scheme, Sukanya Yojana, CM’s Super 50 tutorial and other welfare schemes.
