JAMMU, Apr 24: The State Pensioners Association (SPA) today welcomed the Union Government’s decision to release a 2% Dearness Allowance (DA) installment effective from January 2026 for its employees and pensioners.
In a press statement, Association president Krishan Singh urged the UT administration to implement a similar relief for its employees and pensioners.
He highlighted that rising inflation continues to burden working-class families and retired personnel across the state.
Singh further called on the Government to consider additional welfare measures, including an increase in minimum daily wages and revision of honorariums for Anganwadi workers, helpers, Numberdars and Village Guards.
