Soodan inaugurates works in Nanak Nagar

JAMMU, Feb 26: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Inder Singh Soodan of Ward number 44 here today inaugurated the completed tile and beautification work in Sector 10 of Guru Nanak Nagar.
Some days back the locals of the area had approached Soodan with demand of the development works in their locality as there was a garbage dumping place and nearby residents and shopkeepers used to dumps their garbage there which led to breeding of mosquitoes and the garbage dump used to attract stray dogs and cattle besides bad smell also used to disturb the adjoining locals.
After the Councillor took the issue with JMC authorities, Rs. 7 lakh were sanctioned and the work got completed today.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor asked the people of his Ward to use the services of garbage collecting autos and stop throwing garbage here and there.
He urged the people to avoid single use plastic and make the Ward a neat and clean one.
