Snowfall in higher reaches of Himachal

SHIMLA: High reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced snowfall while the down streams were lashed by rainfall in last 24 hours, the Met Office said here on Friday.
More rain, hailstorm and snowfall are likely during the next 24 hours.
The inclement weather prolonged in the state as Keylong in Lahaul Spiti got seven cm snowfall and Kalpa in Kinnuar 0.2 cm.
Rohtang Pass, Lady of Keylong, Seven Sister’s hill and Goshal hills of Lahaul Spiti, Kinner and Srikhand Kailash of Kinnaur reported fresh spell of snowfall today.
Manali received 10 mm rainfall, Dalhousie– nine mm, Kalpa–7.4 mm, Solan– four mm, Bilaspur– 3.6 mm, Una, Seobagh in Killu and Kufri three mm each, Chamba, Kangra, Mandi and Shimla two mm, Palampur and Dharmshala 2.4 mm.
The Met Office has warned of heavy rain or thunderstorms accompanied with hail, lightning and gusty winds at speed of thirty to four kilometer per hours at isolated places in the mid and foot hills.
Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus 0.2 degrees , Kalpa two degrees, Manali 4.8 degrees, Dalhousie five degrees, Shimla seven degrees, Dharmshala 8.4 degrees, Palampur 10 degrees, Mandi and Span 10.5 degrees each and Chamba 13.7 degrees.
Sundernagar 14.4 degrees Kangra 14.6 degrees, Hamirpur 18.2 degrees, Bilaspur 18.5 degrees, Una 17.4 degrees and Nahan 14.3 degrees respectively.
The Met Office forecast rain and snow fall at isolated places in the mid and high reaches of the state and mainly dry weather in the rest of state during next 24 hours. (AGENCIES)
