JAMMU, July 14: With the divine blessings of HH Satguru Mata Sudiksha Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj, Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) branch Akhnoor organized a voluntarily Blood Donation Camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Akhnoor, here.
Volunteers from all age groups participated in this camp to spread the message of Baba Hardev Singh Ji that “Blood should flow in veins and not in drains”.
The camp was inaugurated by Dinesh Gupta, Honorary Secretary Indian Red Cross Society Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that to save a human life is a noble venture, and doing so through blood donation is a priceless gift to the person whose life has been saved.
“Sant Nirankari Mission is a leader amongst blood donation organizations not just in India, but across the world. The Mission recognizes blood as a universal human lifeline- all humans, despite caste, colour, gender, or creed, need it to survive,” added Gupta.
Earlier, Ajit Singh, Zonal In-charge presented welcome address, while Sansar Chand, Sanyojak branch Akhnoor presented the vote of thanks.
Prominent among other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr Salve Blood Bank GMC Jammu, Chuni Lal Sanchalak, Ram Mehta and Raghubhir Singh, President Virat Ekta Manch Akhnoor.
The Camp was held in collaboration with Blood & Transfusion Department of Govt. Medical College Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society, JKSACS and District Hospital Akhnoor.
