JAMMU, Mar 28: Prof (Dr) V Verma, Head, Department of Biotechnology and Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Kakryal (Katra), attended 15th World Congress on 2nd International Conference on Biotechnology and Biotech Industries Meet Enzymology and Molecular Biology held recently in Rome, Italy.
During the conference, Prof Verma gave an oral presentation on “Cell wall integrity checkpoint protein Rlm1p as novel transcriptional regulator of F-box encoding gene SAF1 of S. cerevisiae during stress”.
The Conference was attended by about 100 Scientists and Scholars from India as well as many foreign countries. Prof V Verma also chaired a session on “Young Research Forum” in the conference. Delegates from the countries namely USA, UK, Japan, India, Austria, Poland, Egypt, UAE, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey, Lebanan and Serbia participated in the conference.
