Prof Mittal shares AICTE schemes related to Technical Education

JAMMU, Mar 28: Prof Alok Prakash Mittal, Member Secretary, AICTE, today shared various schemes being initiated by AICTE for the involvement of students in Technical colleges for the development of various projects required by different Ministries of Government of India.
He said that the selection process is already midway to award these projects to students with the condition that each group will have at least one female member in them.
Prof Mittal said this while speaking during a one-day seminar on “Role of Technical Education in Shaping New India”, wherein he was invited as chief guest and keynote speaker. He observed that students have to take up the responsibility of getting the best of new technologies which are changing at the speed of light. They have to work hard and actively to take the lead so that India can emerge as the centre of Excellence for new inventions and discoveries, he added.
Later, while taking a round of the various labs, Dr Mittal expressed his appreciation of the high quality of projects prepared by the students in the Institute labs. He visited the Centre of Excellence of the different departments and shared his inputs regarding the projects.
Other learned Scholars who presented their views included Dr Hardeep Singh, Professor & Head, Department of CSE, GNDU and Dr Ekonkar Singh, Deputy Registrar, IKGPTU.
Dr Hardeep Singh, in his motivational interactive dialogue with the students encouraged the students to go for enhancement of analytical and communicational skills along with the best knowledge of their chosen field of study.
Dr Ekonkar Singh, Deputy Registar, IKGPTU emphasized that students must work for their additional skill development and enhance their employability.
Earlier, the Chairman Dr BS Chandi and Vice Chairman Dr Akashdeep Singh welcomed the member Secretary Dr Alok Prakash Mittal in the Campus.
