SMVD Sewa Committee Baridaran visits Bomag area, holds meetings

REASI, Sept 21: An 18 member team of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sewa Committee Baridaran, led by its President Rachhpal Singh, conducted a 3- day tour of four Baridaran villages of Bomag area.
The members toured Sukhal-Ghati, Devigarh, Kothri and Tote where Village Committees of the Baridars of these villages were constituted. Besides, some members for incorporation in the ‘Working Committee’ and ‘Yuva Morcha’ of the Sewa Committee Baridaran were also elected.
The village level(Nukad) meetings were held and addressed by the various members of the touring Sewa Committee Baridaran. The Baridars in these meetings were appraised about the progress of the activities carried out by the ‘Executive Body’ of the Sewa Committee during its present tenure exceeding more than three years. The activities carried out included several meetings with the top J&K and Central BJP leadership, including Dr Jitendra Singh; former Governor Satya Pal Malik, the first Lt Governor of UT of J&K, G C Murmu and a video conference conducted at the instance of Manoj Sinha, present Lt Governor of UT of Jammu & Kashmir between Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and Rachhpal Singh, President, Sewa Committee Baridaran convened by Indu Kanwal Chib, Deputy Commissioner, Reasi in her office chamber.
Ajay Singh gave a brief account of the agenda in these meetings which included, the progress of the work done by the Committee during its tenure, role of the Sewa Committee and implication of the writ petition filed in the High Court.
Kartar Singh elaborated on the importance of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sewa Committee Baridaran before the audience and Adv Sukhdev Singh briefed the baridars about the legal aspect of the writ petition filed by an unauthorized splinter group of baridars designated as Sangarsh Samiti in the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir.
The several queries raised by the baridars were replied by the various members of the touring team. Rachhpal Singh, head of the touring team, gave a brief account of the various aspects and also attended to the specific questions raised by some of the Baridars satisfactorily.
The visiting members included Karnail Singh, Pritam Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Sujan Singh, Krishan Singh, Ranjeet Singh (Gilu), Kuldeep Singh (Pappu), Padamdev Singh, AnkushThakur, Jagjit Singh, Onkar Singh, Sahil Singh, Shubham Wazir, Ravinder Singh and Arvind Thakur.
