Slathia inaugurates CFC, CIC at Abtal

SAMBA, Apr 12: Former Minister and MLA Vijaypur, Surjeet Singh Slathia assured the people that Government is committed to provide basic amenities to them.

Addressing a public meeting at border village of Abtal in Ramgarh- Vijaypur Assembly Segment near here today, he said several developmental works are under construction in model village of Abtal which included leveling of ground for CFC, development of park, construction of lanes and drains, construction of road from temple to Culture Activity Centre at an estimated cost of Rs 85 lakh. With this the people of 22 villages will be benefited, he added.
Mr Slathia also inaugurated the developmental works constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 82 lakh which included construction of Community Facility Centre (CFC), Computer Information Centre (CIC), compound wall of Government Middle School, Government Middle School building and shopping complex at Abtal.
Mr Slathia said the coalition partners are working in close coordination for the betterment of the people of the State and it has taken the State to a developmental path in last over four years of its rule by paying special attention to hilly and remote areas.
He said some vested interests are hell bent in creating a confusion among the people on the basis of religion and region by raising emotive slogans, but the secular forces in the State have to comet together to give a befitting reply to such nefarious elements.
He said coalition led by Omar Abdullah is committed to develop the remote and backward areas of the State for which the road connectivity is the most important aspect.
Mubarak Singh District Development Commissioner Samba and other officers were also present on the occasion.
