Slathia distributes cheques among 1244 beneficiaries

SAMBA, Jan 3: Former Minister and MLA Vijaypur, Surjeet Singh Slathia today distributed cheques among 1244 beneficiaries under National Family Benefit Schemes (NFBS), physically handicapped persons, widow pensions and old age pensions amounting to Rs 25 lakh in a function organized by Social Welfare Department at Vijaypur.
Among others District Development Commissioner Samba, R.K. Verma, Panchs & Sarpanchs, officers of Social Welfare Department were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the function Mr Slathia highlighted the achievements of five years rule of NC-Congress coalition led by Omar Abdullah.
He lambasted the PDP and said that Party was day dreaming to come to power in the State as the Party has been exposed before the people for its pro-BJP stance.
He said the developmental works done during NC regime in Vijaypur Constituency is a record as never such development has been done in this constituency earlier.
Slathia, while appealing people to strengthen the Party and hands of Omar Abdullah he said NC is committed peoples cause and equitable development of all three regions of the State.
