Suddenly due to some natural calamities drought hit this part of region and people used to get water for their families and cattle from the nearby village. Water has to be divided between the locals and the royals. But one day that source of water also dried up. Villagers and cattle started dying due to this natural calamity.
One day Rana saw a dream in which his Kul Devi ordered him to sacrifice animal or someone from the village, but Rana refused. Then Kul Devi again ordered him to sacrifice someone from his own family and Rana narrated the whole story to her daughter-in-law and requested her to save his only son and grand son by sacrificing her own life. When she was sacrificed, sudden thunder storm hit the region and the region got a heavy raining which made river in the centre of the village.
Rana thought that he had done a great mistake by sacrificing his daughter-in-law because as he loved his only son and grandson, her parents also love her.
