JAMMU, June 9:  SKUAST-Teachers Association Jammu has extended it full support to the Co-ordination Committee on AIIMS issue.
A decision in this regard was taken during an executive body meeting of the Association, held today under the chairmanship of president Vikas Sharma.
The SKUAST-TAJ expressed serious concern over continuous discrimination with Jammu by the successive State Government since independence and resolved to fight for the due right of the region. Dr Vivak M Arya, general secretary of SKUAST-TAJ, said that they have full faith in
present Central as well as State Governments, which would not allow anybody to hijack the AIIMS from Jammu region.
The meeting also decided to fully support the proposed chain hunger strike by CC in order to intensify the ongoing agitation for AIIMS.
The meeting was attended by Dr P K Rai, Dr Devinder Sharma, Dr Rajeev Bharat, Dr Poonam Parihaar, Dr Vinod Gupta, Dr A C Jha, Dr Jai Kumar and others.
