SKUAST-J organizes awareness programme on climate change

JAMMU, Feb 17: Scientists of SKUAST-Jammu organized an awareness programme under National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture (AICRPAM-NICRA).
The programme was attended by farmers and farm women, who were suggested to adopt modern crop technology for better adoption measures in the context of climate change.
Dr  Vivak M  Arya, Project Investigator of the Project,  gave detailed lecture regarding the importance of climate resilient agriculture and its adoption at field level. Deliberating upon the topic, he emphasized upon the farmers to get equipped with the changing climate pattern.
Dr  Sanjay Kaushal, highlighted objectives of the programme while Dr  Arvind P  Singh (SMS) gave detailed lecture on impact of climate change on crop production.
Dr  Brajesh (SMS) gave idea regarding various welfare scheme offered by State and Center for the farming community. Dr  Rohit, Jr  Scientist apprised farmers about the different module of Integrated Farming System and their benefit.
