SKS, SJP term fresh verifications in camps unjustified

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Oct 7: The Sampooran Kashmir Sangathan (SKS) has expressed grave concern over the fresh CID verifications being made to displaced Pandits living in various camps.
In a statement issued here, today Rakesh Koul president SKS said that this way migrants putting up in camps in Jammu as well Kashmir Valley feel harassed. He said it is unfortunate that BJP which is ruling in the State and at Centre and which had claimed to ameliorate the lot of displaced people after coming to power has been more harsh to displaced Pandits than any other Party.
It is for the first time during the last 26 years that police men in civil dress knock the doors of Kashmiri migrants during night hours and subject them to harassment.
Mr Koul has urged the authorities to desist from such tactics as entire community will be forced to leave the quarters and come to streets in protest. Kaul also warned the agents in the community who are working in the hands of such vested interests who are playing with honour of community.
He urged entire community to come on a single platform to devise the future course of action and restoration of rights to the community leading an exiled life for over last 26 years.
Meanwhile Samajwadi Party Migrant Cell has also expressed concern over the harassment caused to displaced people living in various camps at Jammu and Kashmir Valley.
In a statement issued here today Inderji Labroo president Migrant Cell urged the Government to settle the long standing issues of migrants at an earliest.
