JAMMU, July 8: Government today re-constituted Governing Body of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura, Srinagar.
Headed by Lt Governor, J&K UT as the Chairman, the Governing Body comprises Advisor (s) to LG; Chief Secretary, J&K; Secretary, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India; Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India; Director, AIIMS New Delhi (or one of his Deans in absence of the Director): Director, SKIMS and Ex-officio Secretary to Government; Principal, Government Medical College, Srinagar; Principal, Government Medical College Jammu and Principal, SKIMS Medical College, Bemina as the Members.
Administrative Secretaries of GAD, Health & Medical Education and Planning Department are Advisors of the Governing Body while Principal Secretary to LG and Dean, Medical Faculty, SKIMS, Soura are Special Invitees.
