SKICC to operate floating cafeteria on Dal Lake

Srinagar, July 14: SKICC has achieved one more milestone as it has announced that one more luxury product which is the floating cafeteria is going to be operated soon on Dal Lake.
The officials said that its execution has been completed and has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Tourism GOI under Swadesh Darshan of the Himalayan circuit.
The floating restaurant is going to be the first of its kind in Kashmir and will give a feel of cruise experience to the guests onboard, climate conditioned floating luxury has a capacity for catering to 80 guests per ferry.
The floating luxury, officials said, is laden with all kinds of hi-tech modern gadgetry including safety gear like rescue boats, ambulance, two washrooms and a scientifically managed kitchen to provide hygienically prepared food and beverages.
Humayun Bakhshi Javed, Director SKICC/MD Golf Development Authority has termed it as another milestone and product of convergent zeal and hard work of SKICC Human Resource.
While appreciating the team SKICC, he urged the JKTDC to maintain this property and serve with the global standard of hospitality in mind as the said floating luxury restaurant has been handed over to JKTDC for commercial operations.
The travel trade fraternity has shown satisfaction over the completion of this product which they feel will add more glory to the Dal lake life and have assured to promote this floating restaurant as a luxury tourism product.
