JAMMU, Sept 14: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating security situation in Kishtwar area of Jammu Province and asked the Government to take urgent steps to check the spread of militancy in the area.
Reacting to the incident of weapon snatching from PDP leader’s PSO after keeping the family hostage, in proper Kishtwar City area, the PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) has termed it a serious incident in the wake of earlier incidents of killings of Parihar brothers and another RSS activist.
It is unfortunate that Govt has so far failed to identify the culprits behind these killings despite lapse of sufficient time to expose the real designs behind such targeted killings in this sensitive area. Friday’s incident has further added dimensions to the volatile situation and belied the tall claims of the Govt regarding elimination and control of militancy, he said.
The PCC has appealed to the people to remain vigilant and defeat nefarious designs of enemy and maintain communal harmony at all costs.
