UDHAMPUR, May 5: Tractor mounted sprayers for sanitization of municipal areas at large in district Udhampur were pressed into service today.
District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr. Piyush Singla dedicated three units of tractor equipped with sprayers one each to Municipal Committee Ramnagar and Chenani and one to Municipal Council Udhampur in presence of President Municipal Council Udhampur, Dr. Yogeshwar Gupta and Chairpersons of MC Chenani and Ramnagar.
While speaking on the occasion, DDC said that all the municipalities of the district very effectively sanitized their respective areas during the pandemic COVID-19 and to further expand its domain for intense sanitization, district administration procured tractor mounted sprayers for intese and effective sanitization of larger areas.
He said that for up keeping the sanitation of municipal areas these sprayers will play an important role, in effective, quick and intense fumigation of the areas.
DDC said that earlier sanitization was also done regularly by the municipalities through sprayers, new machines will add the sanitization infrastructure and sanitization will get boost to keep the area free from harmful disease carriers.
Among others, President Municipal Council, Dr Yogeshwar Gupta, Chairpersons MC Chenani, Manik Gupta, Chairperson MC Ramnagar,Makhan Lal, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bushan, District Information Officer, Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia, CEO Municipal Council Udhampur, Santosh Kotwal, EO Municipal Committee Ramnagar/ Chenani, Dalip Abrol and staff members of MC Udhampur were present on the occasion.
