Singh to meet Rahul Gandhi seeking probe against Mir

JAMMU, Feb 11: Founder member of Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) Advocate Tajinder Singh will meet AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi and submit a memorandum seeking probe and action against the J&K Agriculture Minister and president of DPN Gulam Hassan Mir over the allegation against him leveled in report of an enquiry committee of Ministry of Defence Affairs.
Addressing a press conference, Tajinder Singh said that Congress should take disciplinary action against Gulam Hassan Mir for his anti-people, anti-national and anti-democratic practice.
Invoking the Defence Ministry enquiry report which has virtually indicted GH Mir of taking a huge sum of Rs 1.19 crores from special technical committee of Defence force for toppling Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government in the State, Singh said that taking no action in the matter by the State and Central Government over his alleged misconduct and corrupt practice of Mir will bring bad name to the Congress, Government and the country.
“If Rahul Gandhi will not take action against Mir, I will meet Defence Minister and Prime Minister seeking action against the Mir”, Singh added.
