Singh takes stock of damages caused due to floods

JAMMU, Sept 22: Ex-MLA and Member AICC, Thakur Shiv Dev Singh, undertook tour of several villages of Nagrota constituency and took stock of the problems of people due to recent rains and flood.
During his tour he visited Village Shiba, Bambyal, Marh, Drabi, Thandapani and Jathli, and took stock of the losses suffered by the inhabitants as well. He also assessed the loss of Government infrastructure such as electric transformers, electric poles, roads and bridges.
During the tour, Singh observed that the people of these areas have suffered a lot, as their crops have been damaged, houses collapsed and cattle washed away in the flood. The essential services like power and water supply have not been restored in several villages. However, he expressed satisfaction that the road connectivity in these areas has been restored to some extent.
He demanded immediate restoration of power and water supply in these villages, besides free ration to the people of these villages.
Singh was accompanied by Ram Rattan Sharma, president, Block Congress Committee (BCC), Dansal, and others.
