JAMMU, Apr 16: Simula XI and Jammu Cricket Clubs registered emphatic wins against their opponents in the ongoing “1st Patel memorial T20 Invitational Cup”, which is being played at Parade Cricket Ground here today.
1st Patel memorial T20 Invitational Cup is being organized by Patel Cricket under the aegis of JKCA at Parade Ground Jammu. The event is being organized under the supervision of Jung Bahadur Singh Jamwal President Patel Club and Vijay Sharma, Secretary of the Patel Club.
In the first match today, Simula Cricket Club defeated KC Sports Club by 8 wickets.
Batting first, KC Sports Club scored 77 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Akash 21, Hisham 16 and Shubam 12 runs were the main scorer.
From bowling side, Raman Dutta and Satish took 3 wickets each while Abhinav took 2 wickets.
In reply, Simula Club chased the target by losing 1 wicket thus won the match by 9 wickets. Atul made 37 runs while Jatin contributed with 35 runs.
From bowling side, Sham Singh took 1 wicket.
Raman Dutta was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In another match, JCC defeated Evershine Club by 49 runs. Batting first JCC scored 164 runs for 5 in 20 overs, Vivrant scored 52 runs, while Shubam Pundir made 39 runs and Gourav contributed with 25 runs.
From bowling side, Hardeep and Rajinder took 2 wickets each while Narinder took 1 wicket.
In reply, Eversine Club managed to score 115 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Rohit made 39 rtuns, while Balbir scored 28 and Narinder made 26 runs.
From bowling side, Vivrant and Rajeev took 2 wickets each while Majid and Yudhveer scalped 1 wicket each.
Vivrant was declared as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-ur-Rehman, Madan Mohan, Amit Gupta, Sandeep Manchanda and Rahul Kumar, whereas the post match proceedings were conducted by Sohan Bharti.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Khalsa Cricket Club will take on New Challenger Club, while Stadium XI will lock horns with Mayank Cricket Academy.
