Sir,
Kind attention of the Chief Electoral Officer CEO JK and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India is drawn towards the fact that there is dire need to simplify the procedure for filling up of the Form (M) for J&K Kashmir migrant voters because the present procedure is cumbersome and the old voters are not in a position to attend at the migrant relief registration centres to get the Form (M) attested duly by the Zonal Officers, Camp commandants and the Gazetted Officers and providing various proofs viz. Data Form, State Subject and Registration/Ration Card etc.
In other words, the filling up the Form (M) has been made mandatory for the migrant voters before going to exercise their basic fundamental right i.e. right to vote and such type of procedure is an injustice for the migrant voters.
Thus, in the capacity of a voters, I humbly request the CEC of India and CEO J&K to kindly simplify the above said procedure by providing voters VIC- Voter Identity Card to migrants to enable them vote.
