Simon Cowell is neurotic: Kelly Brook

LONDON, Sept 3:  Model-actress Kelly Brook has branded music mogul Simon Cowell “neurotic” in her new memoir.
The ‘X Factor’ mogul recruited Brook as a judge on the panel of reality Tv series ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2009 but dropped her after three days of auditions, reported Contactmusic.
In an extract from her tell-all autobiography ‘Close Up’, Brook details her experiences on set, writing, “Simon arrived four hours after the other judges and sat next to me with a cigarette in one hand and an air purifier in the other… He also had a huge bag of what looked like vitamin pills and supplements. It screamed neurosis on every level.”
She goes on to reveal how she was booted off the programme, adding, “After sitting next to him to begin with on day two I was shunted down the row. I couldn’t help feeling I had managed to turn him right off the idea… I left at the end of the third day, then my agent rang me and said: ‘I don’t know how to say this but they don’t want you back’… I was angry and hurt, and the first thing I said is not printable.
“Simon called me a couple of days later and said that he’d been under pressure to push me out and that some people had been jealous… There is an expression that comes to mind – be careful what you wish for. And honestly, what you shouldn’t ever wish for is a telephone call from Simon Cowell.”
Cowell similarly ditched singer Cheryl Cole from the judging panel of ‘The X Factor’ US after a few days in 2011. (PTI)
